Army Lists

Armies must be compliant with published GW rules and FAQs as of November 22, 2025. All books published as of November 22, 2025 will be allowed.

Armies must be built using the below restrictions:

  • 600 points (or less)

  • Players only need to bring one army. In the case of two players having the same army side (Good vs. Good or Evil vs. Evil) in a game, players should roll off before the game begins to determine who will be “Good” and who will be “Evil” (winner chooses). This will only affect deciding roll-off results, armies will otherwise follow any other rules related to their original army side.

  • Proxies and conversions may be used so long as they are similar in size and aesthetics to models produced by Games Workshop. Proxied or converted models must adhere the following guidelines:

  • Model bases must be consistent with the official Games Workshop profile they represent.

  • Model(s) must be consistent with the wargear available in the official Games Workshop profile they represent.

  • Model(s) must be distinguishable and consistent throughout the same unit type within the army.

  • Ultimately, allowability of a proxied or converted model will be determined by the tournament organizer (TO), Bill West. Please message the tournament organizer from the Longshanks event page or email ShoredoftheRings@gmail.com with any questions on this.

  • While we encourage all players to have a fully painted army, this is not a requirement for this event.

The event can also be found on Longshanks and this will be used for pairing and result submissions. Please register your account on Longshanks and submit your army list to the event link - Shored of the Rings 2025 no later than December 4, 2025 for review and approval.

You should bring 4 printed copies of your army list (1 for yourself, 1 for each opponent), all relevant books for your army (Rules Manual, Armies of Lord of Rings/The Hobbit/Middle Earth, supplement books, etc.), the Matched Play Guide, measurement tools, and dice.
